A smart factory that finally acts smart — control and command center, delivered agent-native.

HP had the sensor data. What it did not have was a control and command layer that turned the data into decisions at manufacturing scale. The gap between “instrumented” and “intelligent” is where most smart-factory programs stall — the integration work across heterogeneous factory systems consumes the budget before the intelligence layer gets built. Agent-native delivery closed the gap. Aedeon absorbed the integration analysis. FDEs built the command center.

The Challenge · 01

Instrumented is not the same as intelligent.

HP’s factories were instrumented — sensors everywhere, data flowing. But instrumentation is not intelligence. The data sat in heterogeneous systems that did not talk to each other, and the integration work required to unify them into a decision layer was the exact work that stalls most smart-factory programs.

The gap between “we have the data” and “the data drives decisions” is an integration-cost gap, and traditional delivery spends the entire budget crossing it — leaving nothing for the intelligence layer that was the point.

How We Delivered · 02

Aedeon absorbed the integration analysis. FDEs built the command center.

Aedeon ran the discovery and integration analysis across HP’s heterogeneous factory systems — the schema mapping, the lineage extraction, the data-quality validation that traditional delivery would have staffed a large integration team for.

Forward-deployed engineers used the freed budget to build the control and command center itself: the real-time decision layer, the production-intelligence models, and the operator interfaces that turned unified data into factory-floor action at global scale.

Why This Matters · 03

The intelligence layer is the point — and it is the first thing traditional delivery cuts.

Every smart-factory program has the same failure mode: the integration cost consumes the budget, and the intelligence layer — the reason for the program — gets deferred or cut.

Agent-native delivery inverts the order. Aedeon collapses the integration cost, so the intelligence layer is what the engagement budget actually funds.

Turn an instrumented factory into an intelligent one. The intelligence layer is where we spend the budget.
